Here’s an example of a poster design for an Annual General Meeting. This poster will be displayed at various locations within the local community of Deptford South London SE8. It will have to compete with other advertising and announcements – therefore the brief was for it to be bold and stand out.
To add a modern touch to the poster design – and appeal to a younger audience – we utilised the company logos to create pattern and color. A fun design element which has been made slightly opaque so that the announcement wording could still stand out.
Our client asked that the date and time of the Annual General Meeting are prominent – so we utilised different colours – white text on a black background. The shift to horizontal placement differentiates the meeting details and draws the eye to this important information.
The font throughout the poster is actually the same as on the main company logo. And we will be using this as the template for Pepys Community Forum poster designs moving forward so that the public becomes familiar with our announcements.
